What kind of music do Sweet Adelines sing?
Sweet Adelines choruses and quartets perform four-part a cappella harmony, barbershop style. This style of music lends itself to songs from any era – today’s ballads, popular show tunes, even jazz. Sweet Adelines have performed their unique style of music in a number of popular venues from professional sports stadiums, Olympic ceremonies, with major symphonies, and even on several national television shows. Choruses make themselves available for private and corporate parties and public events too.

Sweet Adelines International is a respected musical force in the United States and throughout the world. The international membership of nearly 30,000 women, all singing in English, includes choruses in most of the fifty United States, as well as Australia, Canada, England, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, Sweden and the Netherlands.

Pensacola Sound Chorus!
The local chapter of Sweet Adelines International is recruiting Divas, women who love to sing. Chapter Team Leader, Janae Pelham invites all women to attend a rehearsal night on any Tuesday evening at Heights Baptist Church, 600 Pickens Avenue in Pensacola (near E. Cervantes and Perry Ave). Rehearsal begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by information and Q&A at 8:45 pm. Registration and voice placement shortly after physical and vocal warm-ups.
